HERE’S ONE WE MADE EARLIER…

One of our all-time favourite ‘Blue Peter’ presenters has joined the campaign. Peter Purves presented the flagship kids show, live from Television Centre, from 1967-1978. He writes:

“It seemed inconceivable to me that the BBC should want to sell and close the most iconic TV studio set-up in the world.

But sell it they did.

The studios are purpose built to the highest technical standard and the space, once destroyed, can never be replaced. Everything should be done to preserve and use the space for the purpose  it was originally built.

I fully support every effort that is made to keep the old concrete doughnut as a working and excellent set of studios.”

Great to get such support from the celebrities. But let us have some from the business world.
We need some hard reasoned commercial reasons to save TVC
