The developers for the Television Centre site are Stanhope PLC. You can still send them your thoughts about the development.
They HAVE to listen to your comments and report them as part of their planning application. There are, rather confusingly, TWO feedback forms to complete.
The first is HERE which is a more general form about the development proposal.
The second is HERE which is more specific to the detailed plans revealed in April.
Stanhope have had two public consultations so far. We are waiting for the feedback from the April dates to be published on their website. You can read all about their proposals here.
And finally Hammersmith & Fulham Council Planning Department who will have the final say on whether Stanhope are granted planning permission.

Why demolish such an iconic building? Many people in this country have grown up with programmes made here and it is part of our culture and heritage. Absolute cultural vandalism on a grand scale and such shameful behaviour.

Hi,
As a broadcaster myself I have enjoyed working at TVC, this building is a landmark and should not change. Manchester is not the answer, who wants to work there! Sell TVC to ITV or someone who appreciates it as a production hub, not a damn hotel, houses, coffee shops, not the answer. The BBC are being short sighted. I join the campaign keep the building. Tm.

The BBC have persisted with this politically motivated move. The ‘new Broadcasting House’ infrastructure for running a television company is inadequate – want to see evidence?

priceless. Editing suites with temperature control nay have to be built at new broadcasting house, because ‘tapeless’ isn’t working !!!!

It surely would have been easier and alot cheaper to modernize Television Centre than waste millions and millions on New Boadcasting House and BBC Salford. The BBC are always moving out of buildings, which have been made up to date, such as the now demolished Pebble Mill and BBC Manchester. The only plus point to come from the sale of Television Centre is that Studio 1, 2 & 3 will all thankfully be retained, but 3 studios is simply not enough to cope with London based programmes made by the BBC and other channels such as ITV and Channel 4. It would be a huge bonus if Studio 4, 6 and the historic Studio 8 could also be retained and saved from such wasteful demolition at the rear of the Television Centre circular main building.
